The Heritage Learning Center houses kiosks of New Hampshire heroes, a multi-media Foot Locker Theater featuring hands-on exhibits and military items, and a Journey of the New Hampshire Soldier timeline covering the span of history from New Hampshire’s pre-colonial era to contemporary military campaigns in the Middle East. Future plans call for an interactive touch-table where visitors can explore stories of Granite State veterans from all branches of America’s Armed Services throughout our history.A memorial-like exhibit along one of the walls pays tribute to New Hampshire’s many Medal of Honor recipients, containing an interactive where visitors can read the citations for each recipient and learn more about their stories and heroic acts.
The exhibits are designed to be easily moved so that the Learning Center can double as a gathering area for visiting students as part of a New Hampshire public schools history curriculum, and for meetings by veterans and civic groups.
