How do you revitalize an iconic large model of the city of Chicago? We started by facilitating an interactive workshop with the Chicago Architecture Foundation and their expert content advisors. We then developed a new plan for a redesigned atrium lobby exhibit. We used an existing truss structure as a frame work and footprint for the entire exhibit.
We designed a raised viewing platform to give visitors a new perspective of the iconic Chicago model. With the addition of an interactive reading rail, touch tables, monitors, and lighting, the digital infrastructure of the city is projected onto the model creating a dramatically enhanced experience for visitors.
