Luci Creative researched, developed content, and designed this exhibit for the Ingalls Memorial Hospital as it approached its 100th anniversary. The exhibit highlights the history of the hospital and its most influential individuals. Numerous artifacts, historical images, and personal interviews with current and retired doctors, nurses, and administrators all add to the richness of the information presented in the graphics and media.
A curved, serpentine wall features a timeline and graphics that share the momentous stories of the hospital’s people and happenings. In addition, artifact cases placed along the perimeter walls feature unique objects from the hospital’s storied past. One of the cases holds the original hand-written hospital patient ledger from 1922. A digital touchscreen interactive allows visitors to page through the ledger virtually. Another updatable touchscreen within the exhibits highlights the hospitals’ current research, upcoming events, messages from key staff, and the various services and locations of their facilities. Acknowledging the hospital’s community of generous benefactors, a fountain and water-wall includes the names of major donors.
